RECREATIONAL FISHERS "EKO FISING "CELEBRATED THEIR SAINTS DAY
SAINT NIKOLA Association of recreational fishermen "EKo FISING" Niš celebrated their patron - Saint summer St. Nikola. The celebration was was attended by many members of the Association, guests from Vojvodina, for the first time and president of Palilula Municipality Boban Džunić. According to Jovan Djordjevic, president of the Association "Eko fising", the organization of recreational fishermen of Nis has been active for two years. Together with Saint Day traditional Cake, candle, but also with the kettle full of fish soup, our Saitns Day will be marked as it deserves Djordjevic points out. "Our Municipality has a good cooperation with the Association of recreational fishermen" Eko fising " Nis said president Boban Džunić. They are present in our actions - Palilula evening, South Morava regatta, ecological projects. Today the world also is celebrating the International Day of Biodiversity and this Saints Day ceremony has its own symbolism. Dusan Jovanovic from a fishing Association of Vojvodina is a guest of Nis colleagues. Cooperation is mutually successfully realized. We want it, in the next year, to become even more comprehensive. In the courtyard of the Association of recreational fishermen "Eko fising" there are kettles. Fish soup is simmering, peppery one chilly, in the way this dish is served, the other for the guests who do not like spicy taste. Then also fried fish is prepared. The host Ninoslav Milenkovic welcomes guests. Serbian Orthodox Church and its believers celebrated in the end of May a holiday dedicated to the Transfer of Relics of Holy Father Nikolai - Mirlikija miracle of Myra in Bari, where they rest today. St. Nikola helped the poor, consoled the people and saved them from starvation. It is considered the patron of sailors and of all passengers. Saint Nikola Day, in the number of those who celebrate it, unsurpassed most present Saints days among Serbs. While in the calendar it does not belong to summer, mostly because of the nice weather on this day, it is popularly referred to as Summer St. Nikola.
